In 1500, Andre de Rambures, Senechal de Ponthieu, founded the convent of the mines. It was in their church that Louis XIII consecrated his kingdom to the virgin in 1638. Unfortunately, the Revolution completely destroyed the convent and the church. Today, at the very site of this convent, Notre-Dame de France is in tribute to the consecration of the kingdom of France to the virgin, with a magnificent statue of De Roze representing the virgin with the child.
